Anonymous donor will match leadership gifts dollar for dollar, up to $250,000, with the potential to raise $500,000 for the Delray Beach arts center

This match is a first step, helping Arts Garage begin building the support it needs to sustain its programs for artists, students, seniors and families no matter what happens with public dollars.”

DELRAY BEACH, FL, UNITED STATES, November 4, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Arts Garage is inviting its most committed supporters to double their impact. The nonprofit visual and performing arts center in downtown Delray Beach has launched Unlock the Match, a leadership campaign in which an anonymous donor will match gifts of $25,000 or more dollar for dollar, up to $250,000. “If supporters unlock the full match, the campaign will raise $500,000, an important first step toward sustaining Arts Garage’s performances, exhibitions, education programs and community outreach for years to come.”

For 15 years, Arts Garage has been more than a place to see a performance, take a class or experience an exhibition. It has become a place where people are seen, sometimes before anyone else knows their name. Artists find an audience; people find one another; art, music and friendship build a genuine sense of community; and many experience a national-caliber performance for the very first time. Each year, Arts Garage serves more than 31,000 people through live music, theater, visual art and education programs for students and seniors.

According to Marjorie Waldo, President and CEO of Arts Garage, the timing of this match matters. Public funding for arts and cultural organizations in Florida has become increasingly uncertain, and state arts support has dropped sharply in recent years. That shift makes one thing clear: The long-term strength of Arts Garage must come from a broad and committed base of community supporters.

“When state funding dropped, this community showed up for us. Now we have a chance to build on it,” said Waldo. “Public funding is uncertain, and we have to prepare now rather than wait to find out what happens next year or the year after. This match is a first step, helping Arts Garage begin building the support it needs to sustain its programs for artists, students, seniors and families no matter what happens with public dollars. We want Arts Garage here for the next 15 years, and that future depends on people who believe this work matters.”

“The measure of a community is not only what it builds, but what it chooses to nurture and preserve,” said the anonymous donor. “Arts Garage represents something special: a place where creativity flourishes, talent finds opportunity, and people come together through the arts. My hope is that this matching gift will inspire others to join in supporting something that belongs to all of us.”

Unlock the Match is focused on leadership gifts of $25,000 or more, which will be matched dollar for dollar. To discuss a leadership gift, call Arts Garage at 561-450-6357. Supporters who want to give at any level can take part in the Arts Garage Annual Campaign launching in November.
