Trump Says US Forces Devastated Iranian Navy, Disrupted Communications

(MENAFN) U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Saturday that American forces have destroyed 42 Iranian navy vessels and disabled the country’s communications systems over the past three days, according to reports.

Trump made the remarks while speaking to leaders from 12 Western Hemisphere nations at the “Shield of the Americas Summit” in Doral, Florida. “That was the end of the navy. We knocked out their air force, we knocked out their communications, and all telecommunications is gone,” he said.

The president’s comments follow the joint U.S.-Israeli military operations launched on February 28, described at the time as “major combat operations” against Iran. In response, Iran has carried out a series of retaliatory strikes targeting U.S. and Israeli assets across the region.

Over the past week, Iranian forces reportedly launched roughly 600 missiles and conducted approximately 2,600 drone missions, striking 200 U.S. and Israeli targets, as stated by reports.
